Living a Successful Life
Living a Successful Life: According to Ralph Waldo Emerson…The American philosopher Ralph Waldo Emerson believed that a successful life is characterized by the following:
- Laughing often and without restraint.
- Earning the respect of intelligent people and the affection of children.
- Profiting from honest criticism and enduring the betrayal of false friends.
- Appreciating beauty.
- Seeing the best in others.
- Leaving behind something good, whether it be a healthy child, a garden patch, or a society in progress.
- Knowing that at least one life breathes easier because you have lived.
Emerson’s definition of success is both simple and profound. It focuses on the importance of living a life that is full of joy, meaning, and connection. It also emphasizes the importance of making a positive impact on the world.
One of my friends recently came across this quote and it resonated deeply with her. She shared it with me and I wanted to share it with my readers as well.
Everything is Energy
Let’s let go of malice, revenge, and anything that brings negative energy. Let’s focus on kindness, sympathy, gratitude, respect, generosity, and compassion. Let’s do our best to stay in high energy frequencies.
The higher our energy, the more life smiles at us. I’ve noticed this for sure! I’ve been practicing benevolence for years and my life has been slowly improving. I was never a mean person, but I wasn’t as benevolent as I am today.
Have you noticed that when your day starts badly, everything seems to go against you? When you’re late for an appointment and you get stressed, it only makes the delay worse, because everything gets in the way: red lights, people on the road, and so on.
You’ve probably also noticed that life smiles more on people who are confident and happy. And the worse we feel, the more trouble we tend to have. We’re more likely to get sick and fail. You’ve noticed that too, right?
Self-Confidence
As Ralph Waldo Emerson said,
"Self-confidence is the first secret of success."
When we are in a state of self-confidence, we have fewer doubts and we are more successful in everything we do. Finding this confidence can sometimes be a long and difficult journey, but it is worth it. I am sure of it. I can only encourage you to persevere.
